How can I get medical treatment at Sana?

Please send us your request to international@sana.de or via the contact form below. Please specify the medical condition, the medical treatment you are seeking, and any existing diagnoses. Our case managers will get back to you as soon as possible to further process your request and assist in arranging your medical treatment.

What information should I include in my request?

In order to be able to offer you a treatment plan that is as individual as possible in a timely manner, we need detailed information from you: patient information, admission data, medical data, and reports.

What are the costs for medical treatment abroad in Germany?

Prices for medical services are based on the German DRG-system (German Diagnosis Related Groups) and the German scale of fees for physicians (GOÄ) and are presented transparently for you. Insurance companies may cover the costs of medical treatment abroad. If you have insurance, please specify this in your request to international@sana.de as well.

After receiving your inquiry and reviewing your medical records and information, an individual treatment plan will be created for you. Based on the given information, you will receive a non-binding, detailed cost estimate with the key information about your hospital stay and the expected costs. 

I speak only my native language. How does communication work in the hospital?

At our Sana hospitals, many of the medical staff speak English and often other languages as well. If you’re worried about communicating with the doctors and nursing staff, we will gladly arrange for a patient care attendant to assist you in Arabic or Russian throughout your stay in the hospital. Likewise, we can have your discharge documents and doctor's letters translated after your hospital stay.

How are the rooms equipped and what services are available?

To make your stay with us as pleasant as possible, private rooms with comfortable beds and en-suite bathrooms, laundry service, a selection of high quality care products, and other amenities are available. In addition to modern comfort equipment, we would like to offer you distinctive services, ranging from cafeterias, free Wifi, TV entertainment, culturally appropriate menus (halal, etc.), newspapers, and many more.

Can I get medical treatment at Sana during the current Covid-19 situation?

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, additional measures, e.g. testing, quarantine, etc. may be implemented at Sana Hospitals, depending on the current Corona situation. All measures undertaken serve to minimize the risk of infection and ensure your safety and wellbeing.
